| Our recording philosophy is one that is governed by our love of the live music experience. We believe that the greatest treasures of music are found when musicians perform in front of an audience. |

| It is in the live performance where we find an intersection of dynamic events. It begins with the interaction between the musicians and the audience. One feeds the other with energies that are empowering and vitalizing. You sit in the audience, the musicians take the stage, then comes the moment of pause and anticipation before the music starts and then something magical happens. The music exists and you are a part of it. It is in the live performance that musicians are able to bring the totality of the intelligence, the emotions, the spirit and the humanity of the music to life. This is the beauty of the live performance and it is this beauty that Mirrored Nature Records captures on its recordings. |

| However, the absence of audience interaction during a recording presents a significant challenge for the recording artist. This challenge is overcome only with musicians, who have the talent and sensibilities to perform in front of the microphones, as gateways to the audience. |

| The performance is a dialogue between the musicians. It is an organic process, but one of context. The art that the musicians bring to the music does not lend itself well to being cut up and reassembled. So, in order to retain all the beauty of the music, we record complete takes. We are not assembling bars. The organic flow of the music and the dialogue between the musicians is of paramount importance for us. This is "Music Made Not Manufactured." |

| Our approach to holding the mirror up to nature is based on the belief that the higher the fidelity of the recording, the greater the level of verisimilitude for the listener. We accomplish this by keeping the recording process as simple as possible. We employ fundamental microphone techniques, use the best equipment and as little of it as possible, record in high resolution and leave the recording unprocessed. This is our "Ars Artium". |
